Obamacare just keeps on giving (annoyance, pain, and excessive costs)

A WORD AGAINST OBAMACARE via Powerline.

With capitalism, incentives drive relatively good behavior. Need, desire, and ability combine to drive behavior that fills the greatest wants of the masses as efficiently as possible. When you try to replace it with another system, if you structure the incentives even a little less than ideal, what you end up with will be worse than what you started with.
Politicans are humans that aren’t capable of producing ideal incentives… Because incentives that drive good behaviors will be called callous and lose elections.

Obamacare might have been better if the intentions were honest, rather than as a gateway drug to single payer, but neither it nor single payer was ever destined to be adequate, timely, or good. What we want goes beyond our desire to pay, but without the direct awareness of cost, dissatisfaction with what we get is inevitable. Though, even if that wasn’t the case, what it is actually doing to competition is guaranteed to lead to a bad end.
